Third Lobe Theory

Dear Mom,
I apologize for my lack of blogging as of late. I could blame it on a number of issues but why waste time coming up with excuses be they valid or not.
A cool starry late August night sets the stage for my typing escapade as I sit listening to a chorus of synchronized crickets juxtaposed to a black backdrop. The wind softly blows through the trees and the screened in porch I'm so fortunate to be sitting inside of. My thoughts reflect on the past summer and the coming week as I seek to explain through words and stories.
Stories are what make the world turn. My rational mind objects immediately as I refrain from deleting my first thought. Stories can't physically make the world turn, it says. It's fascinating the relationship the mind has with itself. So many dialogues, conversations and situations thought silently and audibly throughout a day or a lifetime. Right now, I'm thinking a lot about a lot of different things and thinking about how I can relay them in some way that would translate and tell a coherent story.
One thought that sparked in my consciousness about a week ago or so was what I'm calling The Third Lobe Theory. As Lizzie and I sat one afternoon in the back of the bus putting our dream eyes on it struck me that the third eye is something of human creation. At least that's how I was seeing it. I can't think of any animal that has just 3 eyes. Maybe there is because I have not done any research yet about this. Anyways, the third eye is usually placed or located between the two eyes or somewhere in the middle of the fore head as far as I know. It struck me that the third lobe is also at the front of our brains. The third lobe is also the thing that gives us human beings the consciousness that makes us wonder, for example; why do we exist, what's the meaning of life, is there a god, and so on. I was thinking that maybe the existence of the third lobe is the existence of god and that it is represented in the bindi or third eye. I guess out of all of this, since I haven't done any research, I'm wondering if there is a correlation between the third eye and the third lobe.
In other news, the Dharma feels much better having the porcupine quills pulled from his lower mouth. It seemed to not effect him that much. We dropped Adam in NYC a couple nights ago where he took a train back to Missouri. He should be there just about now. Lizzie and I have time by ourselves for a change and it feels so nice to be together alone. When I sit and think about it, we haven't had that much time alone together in our relationship. Maybe it helps to make the time we do have alone together that much richer.
Love you, Baba
